Yesterday was a full day for us, taking photos of Fantasyland from the Contemporary Resort roof and then heading to the Magic Kingdom! This was our view of Cinderella Castle (below, left). Maurice’s Cottage (below, right) looks quite whimsical!

We went to the Magic Kingdom yesterday afternoon to enjoy a little downtime – but it turns out, there was a lot to see and we ended up spending most of our time taking photos and video! A friend told us that the scrims on Main Street U.S.A. had been blown off buildings during a windstorm (below, left). We rode the Walt Disney World Railroad - 3 times! – and enjoyed the view of the new Fantasyland train Station which will be open soon (below, right).

We decided a couple of days before “One More Disney Day” at the Magic Kingdom (below, left) that we’d attend for at least a few hours in the evening. We arrived at about 8pm, figuring we’d stay until 2am or so. It turned out, we stayed all night! Friends of ours had been there since 6am, and received free commemorative Mickey Ears (limited to the first 3000 guests) and all guests received One More Disney Day buttons (below, right).

We started out yesterday with a parade at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort and then ended it at the Magic Kingdom (below, left) to meet with friends. Dumbo the Flying Elephant’s new spinner was continously testing while we were in Fantasyland, with a Storybook Circus sign for “The Barnstormer” (below, right).

Changes at the Magic Kingdom have been happening swiftly! We stopped by the Main Street Fire Station to pick up our Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards to play, and a new banner was out (below, left). We were happy to see the patches are now back inside of the Fire Station, we had been told weeks ago that that would happen (below, right).

Just hours after the New York Giants won the Super Bowl, Quarterback and MVP Eli Manning was on his way to Walt Disney World! The procession started in Liberty Square, and made it’s way around the hub (below, left), before Manning came into our view. Seated with Mickey Mouse (who was dressed as a football player), Manning was showered with confetti as fans applauded and called out to him (below, right).

After a media preview of the new Busch Garden’s show Iceploration, we hopped back in the car and headed to the Magic Kingdom to photograph and record the new Romance segment of “The Magic, The Memories and You!“ Just like in the Christmas version, a small portion of the normal show is changed to reflect the season. The first part of the new segment features Snow White as she receives “Love’s First Kiss” (below, left). Lady and the Tramp then are shown on Cinderella Castle in the famous spagetti scene (below, right).
