We visited Disney’s Art of Animation Resort today, to photograph the new Lion King section. This area opens to the public officially on Friday! Rafiki (below, left) stands at the beginning to the pathway which leads guests through the lush landscaping. Mufasa (below, right) is on the opposite side, looking regal as always. Today we have a major resort update, spanning the new refillable mug test (below, left) at Disney’s All Star Sports Resort to the construction progress at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Currently, the refillable mugs at Disney’s All Star Sports (below, right) have RFID chips in them – as do the standard cups – limiting the amount of soda you can pour at any given time.

I spent the day with friends on Saturday, taking some time to get photos and video of changes to the Magic Kingdom since we were last there. The first stop was the Haunted Mansion (below, left), which has added directional signs showing the way to the “scenic route” and the “direct route” (below, right), depending on whether you want to see the interactive queue or not.
