Magic Kingdom Update: Sorcerer Fire Station, Big Thunder Mountain Tumbleweed, New Fantasyland Additions to Prince Eric’s Castle and Haunted Mansion – Photos and Video

Hi everyone!

Changes at the Magic Kingdom have been happening swiftly! We stopped by the Main Street Fire Station to pick up our Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards to play, and a new banner was out (below, left). We were happy to see the patches are now back inside of the Fire Station, we had been told weeks ago that that would happen (below, right).

President Obama Visits The Magic Kingdom, Backstage Entrance with Parade Floats & Entertainment, Speech Simulcast in The Hall of Presidents, Disney’s Hollywood Studios Rock the Night Fireworks – Photos and Video

Hi everyone!

President Obama paid a visit to the Magic Kingdom yesterday to give a short speech on tourism. Main Street U.S.A. was walled off from park guests until a little after 2pm (below, left).  While some areas were not open to the public, Disney pulled a terrific backstage experience out of it’s hat! Parade floats and Main Street vehicles lined the backstage walkway from Main Street to Tomorrowland, including these fish from Spectromagic (below, right).

Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade

“I see you got my invitation!” exclaims Mickey Mouse as he welcomes you to this holiday procession. Your favorite characters will enchant and delight, and a new Mickey’s Boo-To-You float leads the parade! Also new for 2011, Pirate Angelica joins Jack Sparrow on the pirates float. The crowd-pleasing Haunted Mansion grave diggers never fail to delight as they drag their shovels along the ground to provide some added “spark” to the parade. Recorded from several different angles, you’ll enjoy this unique parade for years to come!

Haunted Exit Scenes

Your Not-So-Scary night closes with a look at spooky Halloween projections in Tomorrowland. Fix your eyes upon a spider in his web on the exterior of Space Mountain! Stroll down a nearly-empty Main Street, stopping to admire the themed scarecrows at Town Square. Brightly colored lights guide your way to a final goodbye, with “See Ya Real Soon!” bidding you farewell in lit pumpkins. Take one last look back at the fog-enveloped train station before exiting for the evening.
