After a terrific night a few weeks ago at the Last Tour to Endor, Star Tours really (really!) shut down yesterday with a D23 ” Star Tours Final Flight” event. We also enjoyed a few extra rides on the attraction, being in one of the simulators that was the last trip to Endor for regular park guests (many D23 members were also there as well). This X-Wing Fighter is used in Star Wars Weekends, and the pilot posed for photos throughout the event (below, left). The giant flight information screen (below, right) promises forthcoming adventures to Hoth, Tatooine and Dagobah

This 40th Anniversary DVD features The Lion King Celebration Parade, A tour of the Time Castle gallery, The Indiana Jones Adventure ‘Temple of the Forbidden Eye’, The Spirit of Pocahontas stage show and a bonus photo slide show.
You start your adventure at Disneyland with a horse car ride down Main Street USA, taking in all the 40th Anniversary decorations followed by the critically acclaimed Lion King Celebration Parade. This segment was shot when the parade first opened in 1994 capturing the show at it’s very best.
Next you explore the Time Castle gallery taking in all the displays from Disneyland’s first 40 years. You also get to see items that are buried in the Time Castle not to be opened until July, 17th 2035. As darkness falls on the Magic Kingdom you are taken to your next adventure, the brand new Indiana Jones ‘Temple of the Forbidden Eye’ attraction. Whatever you do, don’t look into the Eyes of Mara. You have been warned.
You finish out your magical day with a command performance of The Spirit of Pocahontas stage show. This production has been rated one of the best shows ever performed at the Fantasyland Theater. A bonus photo slideshow concludes your Adventures at The Happiest Place on Earth!

As of June 1, Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel will experience a name change. The ride will soon be known as the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel.
Disney has announced the change on their website and added a bit of a back story to the name change. The story tells of Prince Charming building a training device for him to practice his jousting skills. The villagers were so awed by the device that Prince Charming decided to have one built near the castle so that the villagers could have the chance to practice their skills as well.
The carrousel has a real history behind it as well. The ride was saved from Olympic Park, an abandoned amusement park in New Jersey, and Disney restore the 1917 carousel to new condition.
