Gaston from Beauty & the Beast and Wendy Darling Character Training at Epcot for Future New Fantasyland, Gaston’s Tavern, MouseSteps Weekly Episode 3 – Photos and Video
Hi everyone!
We were heading to Epcot today to dine at the Mexico pavilion’s La Hacienda (thanks to our friends Kelly and June!), and we’d been told that Gaston (from Beauty and the Beast) and Wendy Darling (from Peter Pan) were greeting guests. Both Gaston (below, left) and Wendy were testing, likely for meet-and-greets in the new Fantasyland. Gaston was quite the hit with the women, as one grabs a load of his muscular arm (below, right).
Gaston (below, left) was quite the cut-up, as you’ll see in the video below! We actually were too late for meeting him in line, but still managed an interview as he left (below, right). Video #1 – Gaston Greets Guests at Epcot, Training for Fantasyland – Gaston’s Tavern, Beauty and the Beast - Gaston surprised and delighted guests today, letting them know “you must be glad to meet me” as he trained in Epcot for a possible move to Fantasyland in the near future (once the new area is open). He was extremely popular as he showed off his muscles and intellect!
We first had encountered Wendy Darling (below, left) as we entered the International Gateway. She was quite chatty with tales from the nursery, and about Peter Pan and his shadow! We did have a moment to pose with her before heading to Gaston (below, right).
Video #2 – Wendy Darling Character Training at Epcot – Tells Us About Peter Pan’s Shadow in Nursery – Wendy Darling is not often found in the parks, but was training at Epcot today! She told us tales from the nursery, about finding Peter Pan’s shadow. Is this a precursor for a new meet-and-greet in Fantasyland?
