We’ve spent a few hours this week at the Magic Kingdom, I stopped by yesterday as well to get some photos. Cinderella Castle (below, left) looked magnificent with the clouds behind it. Casey’s Corner (below, right) is still undergoing exterior work.

It’s been a very busy week with family in town, and so much is going on at the parks – it’s been hard to keep up with everything, but it’s been fun trying! I also released a new DVD last week, Jeff Lange Remembers: Disney-MGM Studios Classics Vol 1. For more information or to order, please click HERE. Pirate Goofy made his meet and greet debut in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom (below, left and right)! It seems a natural choice to have him next to the Pirate League and he was very well received by the young pirates when I saw him!

We stopped by the Magic Kingdom yesterday to see the updated Frontierland Hoedown. There have been many incarnations of the show near the Country Bear Jamboree, this one started a few weeks back. Before the show, the characters met briefly with guests. Liverlips McGrowl stopped by a merchandise stand (below, right). The characters perform with dancers to a variety of songs, including “The Hokey Pokey”. Guests are also brought into the action.

It’s been about a week since we’ve been to the Walt Disney World theme parks, and much has happened in the meantime. The Main Street USA train station is undergoing some sort of rehab (below, left). I’ve not seen any information about this elsewhere as to what is going on. Brochures showing the ice castle and Splash Mountain (below, left) show what is not available to guests currently at the park.

Orlando has been in a deep freeze this week, with temperatures as low as the mid-20′s (maybe not a deep freeze, but very cold nonetheless!) Around the parks and resorts, you can see flowers, plants and trees covered up from the cold – often making it look like even more of a winter wonderland (below, left at Epcot and below, right at the Polynesian Resort).

The Magic Kingdom is almost fully decked-out for Christmas (Toontown was not dressed yet). The garland is up on Main Street USA (below, left) and Candy Cane Garden (next to City Hall) is where Santa will be listening to the wish lists of children visiting the park!
