Buy it Now – Jeff Lange Remembers: Liberty Square Classics

Jeff Lange takes you on a trip back in time to experience classic Walt Disney World “Liberty Square” attractions. This third volume in the series features the following:

The Hall of Presidents (1993)

The evolution of technology from “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” at Disneyland made way for this classic Walt Disney World attraction that also featured Abraham Lincoln in a primary speaking role. The production threads it’s way through history, from the formation of the Constitution, to the Whiskey Rebellion and The American Civil War. After a Saturn V rocket is shown lifting off as part of the current day film sequence, there is a great reveal  – all of the Presidents in audio-animatronic form, from George Washington to 1993 president George Bush. This is the original, opening day version (before the sitting President had a voice in the presentation).

Mike Fink Keel Boats (1992)

Step aboard the Bertha Mae for a unique tour of the Rivers of America! You’ll be reminded of the Jungle Cruise as the skipper tells jokes while passing the Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes (or as he calls them, “speed-bumps”) as well as the Indian Village and the Burning Settler’s Cabin that now stands without the flames. You’ll have a view the Richard F. Irvine Riverboat, which was later refurbished and put back into service as the Liberty Belle Riverboat. This is an opening day Walt Disney World attraction.

Haunted Mansion (1992)

Approach the Haunted Mansion that appears nearly as it did when it opened in 1971. Glance at spooky trinkets for sale before entering the original queue. All the classic gravestones are featured individually before the creaky doors open, beckoning you into the foyer. Once you slide into your Doom Buggy, you’ll glide past portraits with moving eyes and gaze upon cobwebs and orange spiders. Madame Leota’s head is stationary, resting in a crystal ball on her table. And as you enter the attic, the original bride with a beating heart creates a rhythm that will chill you to the core. Remember to beware of hitchhiking ghosts! This was recorded with an audio mixer and two microphones to capture the sounds in front of you and the narration from the speaker behind your head.

Haunted Mansion Bonus Ride (2006)

This nighttime ride-through is enhanced with night vision, which sets an eerie mood to the original graveyard and allows for the spooky details of the ride to be viewed clearly. The Haunted Mansion exterior is bathed in special Halloween smoke effects that truly make this a “ghostly retreat”. This was my final recording of the original Haunted Mansion and it offers a few special surprises – there’s no turning back now…

Relive these Liberty Square Classics year after year or experience the magic for the first time by purchasing a copy of “Jeff Lange Remembers Liberty Square Classics”.
