We stopped by Disney’s Beach Club (below, left), Yacht Club and Boardwalk Resorts to take photos of their holiday displays and decorations. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts had a major convention going on, so we’ll go back there soon (there is a very nice display in the Swan!) The Beach Club Resort has a beautiful carousel (below, left), which is surrounded by several other displays.
An ornament (below, left) from the Christmas tree (below, right) is themed to the Beach Club. You can see the horse “Sweetie” in the background of the left photo.
“Lulu” below, left) is a horse that is not on the carousel, themed to Beaches & Cream. An ice cream sundae is perched on Lulu and looks good enough to eat (below, right).
The carousel is seen past the Christmas tree (below, left). A new carousel is made each year with a list of ingredients that is displayed for guests (below, right).
Each horse is themed differently. “Sweetie” (below, left) is decorated with candy and even has a candy cane hoof! I always enjoy the little details the gingerbread teams come up with each year (below, right)
Tinker Bell sits atop the carousel (below, left). One of the other rotating display pieces is Snow White in front of a gingerbread castle (below, right).
Chip and Dale (below left and right) are part of another display. The gingerbread house they are on was shown at Epcot’s Party for the Senses before it was moved to the Beach Club.
Video #1 – Walt Disney World’s Beach Club Gingerbread Carousel 2010 – This is the Beach Club gingerbread carousel, with several other displays that surround it. You can even buy gingerbread nearby!
We then headed to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort (below, left) to see their train display (below, right).
The Yacht Club Christmas tree and wreaths are themed with boats and other nautical items (below, left). The train set is amazing, it seems to be added to a little each year and there are so many small details that are hard to see without a camera (below, right).
A house with snowmen in front of it (below, left) and kids with Mickey Ears build a Mickey-snowman! (below, right).
The Mickey Mouse Watch Shop (below, left) has the tiniest little watches adorning it – but look closer and they have Mickey Mouse as well! (below, right).
Disney’s Boardwalk Resort tree (below, left) is on the lawn outside. The gingerbread display is just past this Christmas tree (below, right).
A list of ingredients sits outside the display (below, left). A gingerbread girl is on one side of the display (below, right), there is a gingerbread boy as well.
Daisy Duck checks her Christmas list (below, left). Chef Stitch doesn’t seem to be making any headway with his baking, as he’s eating everything he makes! (below, right).
Chip and Dale decorate their Christmas tree and add gifts below it (below, left). Donald Duck’s seared bottom dangles over flames (below, right).
