Disney’s Last Tour To Endor, Special Star Wars Celebration V Event: Complete Event Coverage with Photos and Videos

Hi everyone!

We had a great time at the Last Tour To Endor (below, left) on Saturday night, we were happy we decided to go after going back and forth over it since the event was announced. One of the highlights of the evening was the show “Raiders of the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom: A Fan Film of Epic Proportions“, which was a combination of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises. It was billed as a fan film – two fans, one who loves Star Wars and the other Indiana Jones, get together to create a film that combines both!

We were at the right of the VIP area which held actors from various parts of the Star Wars universe who “volunteered” to be in the show (below, left). Indiana Jones holds a torch (below, right), and you can see Jar Jar Binks’ head on a spike.

Princess Leia, Indiana Jones, R2-D2 and C-3PO face each other (below, left). Indiana Jones watches as a vehicle blows up (below, right).

Dee Bradley Baker and Ashley Eckstein, voice actors from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, were part of the “extras” in the fan film (below left and right).

Actors Warwick Davis (below, left) and Matt Lanter (below, right) add some star power to the show.

Princess Leia punches another one of the “extras” in the film (below, left). While several of those chosen from the audience appeared to be genuine guests, the man being hit is a character actor who is featured at Walt Disney World.  Luke Skywalker shows up in an X-Wing fighter and blows up the airplane (below, right) to conclude the show.

Video #1 – Raiders of the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom: A Fan Film of Epic Proportions – Part 1 – This show was created for The Last Tour to Endor, a mash-up of Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Matt Lanter, Jeremy Bulloch, Ashley Eckstein, Warwick Davis, and Dee Bradley Baker are part of the show, along with Disney cast members!

The Death Star disco (below, left) featured Leia Minnie (below, right) along with Darth Goofy, Jedi Mickey and R2-MK.

Snig and Oopla (below, left) hosted an extended 40 minute version of the Hyperspace Hoopla on the Sorcerer’s Hat stage. This was the best Hoopla ever! Hans Solo (below, right) joins Chewbacca on stage to perform Greased Lightning.

Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker share a romantic, tender moment amidst bubbles (below, left) before they get broken up by Snig and Oopla as they went in for a kiss. Storm Troopers take the stage to Captain EO music before Darth Vader channels Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” (below, right).

Chewbacca is consoled by Oopla as he once again lost the dance contest (below, left) and Boba Fett takes the dance floor with a few great moves of his own (below, right).

Video #2 – Hyperspace Hoopla Special Last Tour To Endor Edition – This 40 minute Hyperspace Hoopla at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was a special Last Tour to Endor event! Part 1 of 3.

Symphony in the Stars” was a beautiful fireworks show that featured music by John Williams (below left and right).

Video #3 – Symphony In The Stars Fireworks – Disney’s Last Tour To Endor 8/14/10 – Special fireworks for Disney’s Last Tour to Endor at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! (set to Star Wars music)

The Star Tours Shutdown featured Imagineer host Tom Brooks, Darth Vader and C-3PO (below, left), who say a few words before they “blow up” Star Tours as a final send-off (below, right).

After the final send-off, we went right back on Star Tours (below, left) for a final ride (at least final for now, it’s still open for a few more weeks). We passed by repair droid G2-4T before departing for the last flight of the night to Endor.

Star Tours cast members say a final goodbye as we leave the ride vehicle (below left), ours was the last ride of the evening, and everyone was excited about that (many seemed to think it was the last ride of Star Tours before it shut down). We were the last two to leave the ride area, and we took a photo of the cast members posting before we headed out.

Video #4 – Disney’s Star Tours Last Tour to Endor 8/15/2010 – Last Ride of the Night! Full Ride Video – This was the last ride of the Star Tours Last Tour to Endor. The ride still has a few weeks until it really closes, but this was a big send-off until the newly re-imagined Star Tours comes back in the spring. This was a lot of fun!
